I am officially back to being busy and swamped with tons to do. I will not be able to post as often so this is going to be my hiatus. When exciting and amazing things happen, I will post and keep you updated and fill in the gaps.
This is completely unacceptable. I don't know if this child's mother is the one filming this or an older sister--either way, it's not funny. Throwing up the middle finger (on both hands) wasn't a cute addition to it whatsoever.
The part that got me was when the girl paused to ask "Can I say the 'd-word'?" WTF? You just said every possible profane word known in the english dictionary. Not to mention this little kid can't even spell to save her life; she spelled it "V-A-L-Y" and the woman behind the camera asks "What does that spell?" and she responded "Bitch!"
Apparently someone is teaching her how to say this stuff. To be honest, they need to purchase some Hooked on Phonics as well as teach her how to spell rather than have her memorize profanity.
And don't you just love how she said "nigga" at the end and covered her mouth like she knew she was wrong?
They handed these out at the Glow in The Dark tour (I didn't get to go, but my friends gave this to me). It's a brightly colored spiral bound quote book that will enlighten you. It gives a quote and an explanation. After reading this I gained a stronger appreciation for Kanye and his geniusness.
Here are two of my many favorite quotes in the book:
"GET USED TO GETTING USED
To most people, the saying "to use someone" carries a negative connotation, but I don't see it that way. To 'mis', 'over' or 'ab' use someone is negative. To use is necessary and if you can't be used...then you're useless."
"I would rather be HATED for who I am than LOVED for who i'm not."

It was aight. I have this theory that they were trying to bring Britney Spears back to what she used to be. She one 3 awards. WTF?? I honestly don't think she deserved them. I like her music, but I don't think she tried hard enough and worked her ass off to receive those awards. Perez Hilton said that she needed it. Once again, wtf?!
There is a difference between needing it and deserving it.
Oh, and I like Russell Brand--he pushes the limits!
I am just going to come out and say this. I LOVE DRAKE (a.k.a Aubrey Graham). That's for those of you who have not seen the first 3 posts I've ever made on here (just so you don't think I'm tryna hop on the bandwagon all of a sudden--i've been on that shit for a while)....But I'll get to my low-key slash high-key obsession for Drake later.
I'm saying all of this because I read his blog (octobersveryown.blogspot.com) everyday to see what new tracks he comes out with and the "in" fashion items courtesy of his blog mates. Anywho, about two weeks ago he came out with a song called 'Money To Blow'. I definitely downloaded the track and have bumped it non-stop, so I pretty much have memorized the words (as I try to do to all of his songs without READING the lyrics on a website--but that's neither here nor there).
At the 2008 VMAs that aired this evening it showed Weezy coming out to 'Misunderstood'. He starts rapping the first verse from 'Money to Blow' instead of the actual lyrics. Now I was caught off guard because I immediately started rapping the same lyrics but I was like "WAIT! That's Drake's verse off of 'money to blow'!" The icing on the cake for me was when he finished his set by giving props to Drake.
Unplug appliances that you aren't using such as a toaster, coffee machine, phone and laptop charger, et cetera. Also if you overcharge your laptops and phones the battery will burn out.
Watch the video. HAVEN'T THERE BEEN NUMEROUS MOVIES AND NOVELS WERE WE HAVE BEEN WARNED THAT THESE ROBOT'S MINDS BEGIN TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES (I.E. KILL THE HUMAN RACE)?!?!
Call me crazy, but I am 90% sure that this is NOT a good idea. At all.
Be Kind Rewind stars Mos Def and Jack Black. It's a comedy about a video store that somehow gets all of their videos demagnetized and must recreate them so that they don't go out of business.
Here's a little tidbit about me: I LOVE taking pictures. I guess you can say I am a photographer. Ever since I got my new camera for my birthday last year I've been snapping non-stop. Photography has been a passion of mine for a long time and I have even taken classes to refine my craft. My appreciation for all types of cameras include polaroid, manual, pinhole, point and shoot, and slr. I currently own the Nikon D40 (that's my first born) and now I'm looking to add to my memory capturing devices. I really want to post my pics up on here of some of my photos but I don't want people stealing them and claiming them as their own (that has happened before). Who knows, I might drop some here and there.
The Nikon D700 (pictured above) is beyond redunkulous. It's the next camera I want to add to my collection. The zoom on it is bananas and the clarity and pixel amount is amazing. Here is an example shot:
Remember back in the day when there was a remix to a song it was pretty much like hearing a different song? Well the concept of a remix must have changed over the years because most of them are just another artist adding a verse to the same song. Nothing has changed. Nothing was remade. Just the same damn song with a lil something new.
Don't get me wrong, I sometimes like that extra verse from Weezy and other artists, but it's refreshing to hear a remix done right like they used to be. Ya feel me?
So I kinda like living on this thing called earth and I hope that it'll be my home for as long as i live as well as my descendants home. Ever so often I will be dropping some helpful tips to live a "green" lifestyle.
Above is a picture of a compact fluorescent lightbulb. They use less energy and last longer than regular lightbulbs. They cost more than regular light bulbs but in the end, you save over $30 on your electricity bill.
